BASF MasterSeal Waterproofing in Oshawa
BASF MasterSeal covers the heavy end of structural waterproofing: below-grade membranes for foundations, plaza decks, and underground structures where the consequences of leakage are severe. Oshawa Concrete installs MasterSeal systems with the full BASF protocol, prep, primer, membrane, protection layer, all to spec. Every project starts with a free written estimate.

What MasterSeal Is Engineered For
MasterSeal is BASF's structural waterproofing line, designed for the applications where leakage is not a cosmetic problem but a structural and financial event. Below-grade foundation walls on a multi-storey building, plaza decks over occupied space, underground structures, tunnel applications: places where the waterproofing has to be right for the structural life of the building.
We install MasterSeal as the BASF-system installer, with the prep, primer, membrane application, and protection layer per BASF protocol. The system warranty requires installer compliance with that protocol; we deliver to spec.
Coordinate with adjacent BASF MasterTop floor systems if the project has indoor floors, and BASF MasterFlow for equipment baseplate grouting. Compare with Sika or Ardex when the project specifies a different brand.
How it works
How We Install MasterSeal in Oshawa
-
Confirm MasterSeal system
We confirm which MasterSeal product fits the application (sheet, liquid-applied, hybrid) based on substrate, exposure and project sequencing with the engineer.
-
Prep substrate for MasterSeal
Substrate is cleaned and prepped per BASF spec, cracks repaired with compatible material, joint detail areas isolated for membrane install.
-
Prime and apply MasterSeal
BASF primer is applied, then the matched MasterSeal membrane is installed at engineered thickness with full joint and penetration detail per spec.
-
Protect and document MasterSeal
Protection layer is installed where required, the system is documented for BASF warranty support, and the waterproofing is handed off ready for backfill or service.
Structural stakes
Structural Waterproofing Has Higher Stakes
MasterSeal projects usually involve a structural engineer because the waterproofing protects load-bearing assemblies. The engineer's spec drives the BASF product choice, and our install protocol satisfies the spec with documentation that supports structural review.
Coordinate with the rest of BASF services on the project, including MasterFlow for any equipment-pad grouting that is part of the structural scope.

Common questions
MasterSeal Questions, Answered
System types, structural engineer coordination, warranty and protection.
MasterSeal below-grade install on a structural foundation. Documentation supported the engineering review, install passed inspection. The system path was clean from spec through warranty.
Plaza deck MasterSeal with multiple protection layers. They knew the BASF protocol cold, joint detail at every transition. Holding through full traffic exposure.
Structural waterproofing with BASF spec on a complex below-grade project. The install matched the spec, documentation supported the audit. Real engineering-grade work.
Below-grade MasterSeal across a foundation, full system warranty in our project file. Dry through three springs of melt. Worth doing right at structural scale.
